Construction Trades
This program provides a foundation in basic residential and commercial construction preparing students for a successful career in the construction industry fields of skilled craft person, construction management or engineering. Instruction includes the proper and safe use of tools, footings and foundations, metal and wood framing and roof structures, estimation of labor and materials, city and county building codes, lot development and design process and blueprint reading.

Certification Opportunities: OSHA 10, CPR/First Aid, Apprenticeship Preparation
Pre-Requisites: Junior/Senior standing. Pair of work pants (i.e. Carhart or Dickies), Tri-Tech polo, work boots & safety glasses. May need to provide their own transportation to the construction sites.
Length of Program: 1-2 years

Sessions Offered: AM-8:00-10:30 M-F PM-11:30-2:00 M-F
Equivalency Credits: 1.0 Math, 0.5 Technical English
Occupational/Elective Credits: 1.5 per Year
