Auto Body Technology
The Auto Body Technology (ABT) program provides training in auto bodywork using a combination of textbook assignments, lectures, lab demonstrations, and one-on-one assistance. ABT is setup as a two-year program focusing on safety, tool identification and proper use, vehicle construction, minor body repair, sanding, painting components and techniques, estimating damaged vehicles, welding and other technical skills, knowledge and attitude to be successful in the automotive industry and continued education. The program includes use of I-CAR professional training materials to meet National Automotive Technical Education Foundation (NATEF) requirements and standards, and earn related certifications.

Certification Opportunities: ICAR Passport certification preparation, Progress towards Associates of Applied Science Degree in Auto Body Technology
Pre-Requites: Junior/Senior Standing, Returning student must have a "C" or better their 1st year and instructor approval.
Sessions Offered: AM 8:00 to 10:30 M-F, PM 11:30 to 2:00 M-F
Length of Program: 1 to 2 years

Equivalency Credits: 0.5 Technical English
Occupational/Elective Credits: 3 per Year
College Credits Available: Up to 30 college credits at Walla Walla Community College
