Kennewick School District

The Benton/Franklin Juvenile Justice Center (BFJJC) detention school
is operated and staffed by the Kennewick School District and is one
of the Kennewick Alternative Education programs. The detention
school serves youth up to 18-years of age while they are incarcerated
in the detention center, and the average length of stay for students is
seven to fourteen days. Class size is from eight to ten students, not to
exceed twelve students per class. The six daily classes are taught
from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., and some classes are on pullout basis
dependent on student need.
